CULTURAL ELEMENTS
Linked Learning pathways thrive when teachers work together regularly in a collegial professional community, or Community of Practice. Teachers know the pathway cohort of students as individual learners, and work together to support each student's success. A strong positive group identity builds from the students' first contact with the pathway and grows through graduation and beyond. Students' sense of competence and ownership grow during well-designed work-based learning opportunities and numerous responsible roles in projects in which they interact with industry and community partners, peers, educators, and younger students. The habits of optimism, persistence, continuous improvement, and growth mindset are consciously cultivated.
